NOTICE OF PROPOSED UNOPENED ROAD ALLOWANCE CLOSING & SALE BY-LAW

TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand (the “Township”)
intends to pass a By-law pursuant to Section 34 of the Municipal Act, 2001, to close part of an
unopened road allowance, as more particularly described as a portion of unopened Road
Allowance between Lots 32 and 33, Concession 9, (former Haldimand Township), now the
Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, pursuant to Sections 8 and 9 of the said Act, to authorize
the sale of the Lands to the owners of the abutting land.

THE PURPOSE and effect of the proposed By-law is to recognize a request for purchase and
to ensure necessary rights-of-ways on municipal land and to dispose of Lands which are
surplus to the needs of the Township.

ANY PERSON wishing to comment on the proposed closing or sale is requested to submit
comments in writing prior to 4:30 p.m. on September 20th, 2018 to the office of the Municipal Clerk,
10836 County Road No. 2, PO Box 70, Grafton Ontario K0K 2G0. The said By-law will come before
Council for its consideration at its planning meeting scheduled to commence at 12:30 p.m. on
Thursday, September 27th, 2018. At the meeting Council will give consideration to all written
submissions received.
