Mock emergency exercise in the County Forest

Cobourg, ON—September 10, 2018—On September 25, 2018, the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand,
Alderville First Nation, Northumberland County and community partners will be conducting a full field
mock emergency management exercise simulating a fire in the Northumberland County Forest.

The exercise will take place from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at multiple locations in the
Town of Cobourg, the Village of Grafton, and the Northumberland County Forest. The design of this
exercise includes both simulated response elements and live role playing.

In support of the exercise, the Beagle Club parking lot and trails within the County Forest
will be closed that day. All other forest trails will remain open for public use.
